On a dark, gloomy and wet March Thursday evening Corvette had some big announcements for the UK. A gathering of guests conjured at Corvette Glasgow, a selection of Corvettes where on display with one silhouette under wraps.
As canapes circulated and guest speakers made their appearance, the build up for the unveiling intensified. Once it was time, the guests gathered round this cloaked vehicle and anticipated built up to reveal the first right hand drive Corvette E-Ray in the country. An all wheel drive electrified 2 seat Stingray that boasts impressive sub 3 second to 60mph acceleration, in part due to its 6.2l V8 petrol engine and the electric motor on the front axle.
The interior of the new C8 Corvette is driver focused with the cockpit being angled towards the driver. A row of buttons divides the passenger from the driver. The steering wheel feels right in your hands and the seats offer a reassuring amount of support, that I am sure will be useful out on the road.
Expect to see the C8 Corvette variants on UK roads in 2025 with prices starting around £100,000.

One of Britain's best selling cars has gone all electric for 2025. This is the all electric Ford Puma Gen-E, which uses a 43 kWh battery and claims just over 230 miles of range. The Puma Gen-E is available in six colours, the model shown is painted in 'Fantastic Red', a £800 option.
The Gen-E features a 12" Sync 4 touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capable. This test car features a B&O sound system, wireless phone charging and a power tailgate. The Gen-E has a generous 523 litres of boot space between the rear boot, with a floor that lifts, and the front boot - ideal for storing the charging cables.
The Gen-E charges from 10-80% in around 23 minutes using a 100kW fast charger. Prices start at £29,995 and Ford UK warranty the battery up to 8 years/100,000 miles. The Puma is available to order now with customer deliveries due by summer 2025.
