KGM have been busy to update the Torres with their first hybrid powertrain. Built in collaboration with BYD, the Torres hybrid aims to be more efficient and offer a smoother driving experience compared with the Torres before. The Torres is a large C-segment crossover which in the UK is only available in 2WD and in one highly equipped 'K40' trim level. All UK cars receive heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats as well as parking sensors all round, large alloy wheels and faux leather seats. The Torres' boot is generous at 703 litres, which increases to 1,662 litres with the second row folded. Meet the new KGM Actyon, a stylish SUV that comes with a generous amount of standard equipment. The name KG Mobility (formerly SsangYong) reviving the Actyon nameplate from the 2000's.

Engine & Performance: 1.5 L turbo‑charged petrol engine (≈163 hp / 120 kW, 280 Nm), paired with a 6‑speed automatic. Available as front-wheel drive only in the UK currently.

Dimensions: 4,740 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, 1,680 mm tall, with a 2,680 mm wheelbase .

Cargo Space: 668 L boot, expanding to 1,568 L with the rear seats folded.

Ambient lighting customizable across 32 colours, plus a flat-bottom steering wheel with configurable shortcut buttons. A luxurious cabin sporting dual 12.3″ digital displays tilted towards the driver.

Features include 360° surround-view cameras, wireless phone charging, touchscreen climate controls, and smartphone mirroring (Apple CarPlay & Android Auto) .

Loaded with ADAS: adaptive cruise control, AEB, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot detection, rear-cross traffic alert, plus eight airbags. Solid warranty of 5 years / 100,000 miles. During my testing I achieved 29 mpg.

The Actyon is offered solely in K50 trim, which means you receive all the kit and the main option to choose is the paint colour.

I was surprised by the KGM Actyon, it was my first experience of a KGM product and it was a capable daily driver that offered space for the family.
