Toyota has been a little slow with EVs, this is their latest offering. The Toyota C-HR+ uses the same platform as the bZ4X and adds a smaller body with C-HR styling. This EV is available in 3 trim levels and 2 battery sizes. I tested out a mid trim Design model with the larger battery pack, which claims over 370 miles of range. Prices start under £33,000 in the UK. Check out the full video on YouTube.
For 2026 the Aygo X received a major upgrade, the exterior has been tweaked sure. However, under the skin the new car borrows the mechanical underpinnings from its larger sibling the Yaris Hybrid. The Aygo X now boasts a 1.5l petrol hybrid powertrain, which increases power by 44bhp and promises over 70 mpg. Throw in the famous Toyota 10 year warranty, this is a compact city car which shouldn't be over looked. I test drove a GR Sport trim, check out the full video on YouTube.
Toyota now offer their infamous Land Cruiser, dubbed 250, as a commerical vehicle. The rear seats have been removed as have the electric window switches. Plates have been bolted over the windows and the rear cabin space now offers 2,000 litres of space, with a metal barrier seperating the front and rear cabin.
This is the Toyota Aygo X, currently the smallest offering from Toyota for the UK market. Since the partnership with Citroen and Peugeot has changed direction following the previous generations of Aygo (C1 and 108 respectively). This new Aygo shares its underpinnings with the new Toyota Yaris. The Aygo X is slightly larger than the outgoing model, however the 'fun' has been baked into this generation of Aygo too!
This model is the 'Undercover Edition' which adds coral red accents throughout the cabin as well as the exterior. You will be greeted with CHAOS and BALANCE whether you look at the roof of the car or the floor mats.
The Aygo X follows the trend such as the bZ4x with the 'x' denoting cross for crossover. Power comes from a familiar 1.0l 3 cylinder petrol engine and the power goes through a 5 speed manual transmission. Check out the video on the CarsofGlasgow YouTube channel.
The Toyota Land Cruiser has returned to the UK, as a diesel only off roader and it features 7 seats. The 2.8l diesel engine is shared with the Toyota Hilux and power goes through a 8 speed automatic transmission. The Land Cruiser has some serious off road modes and rivals vehicles such as the Ineos Grenadier. This LC can tow up to 3,500kg and features a 10 year warranty. Check out the full video on YouTube.
