All new for 2026, the Citroen C5 Aircross is the first Citroen built on the new STLA medium platform, which underpins vehicles such as the Vauxhall Grandland. The C5 Aircross is a 2 row crossover which offers seating for 5, although the middle seat is now more of a perch as the full sized seat has been replaced in this new model.
The interior has been updated, showcasing a large central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The speakers on the dash have a unique design, which flares out towards the occupants. The steering wheel features a new design and this test car has a heads up display. The exterior of the C5 Aircross is fresh, with the most notable feature being the rear tail lights which showcase a fin design which sticks out around the D-pillar.
The new C5 Aircross is offered in petrol, plug-in hybrid and as an all electric e-C5 variant. Three trim levels are offered, YOU!, PLUS and MAX trim. Prices start around £30,500 for an entry level 1.2l petrol model, with prices climbing over £40,000 for a MAX trim electric variant. Check out the full video on YouTube.
The Citroen C5x is currently the flagship of the Citroen range, without stepping up to the DS range. The C5x is a large hatchback that offers comfortable seating for 5 inside its cabin. The interior is a nice blend of rubberised materials, leather feeling textures and comfortable power seats up front. The C5x offers a blend of buttons and touchscreen.
The C5x is available with a 1.2l Puretech 3 cylinder petrol engine, producing 130bhp and 230NM of torque. In addition, there is a PHEV powered by a 1.6l petrol engine and 12.4 kWh battery.
A cavernous boot of 545 litres if you opt for the petrol model and 485 litres if you go for the plug-in hybrid model, as tested. For the full review check out the C5x on the CarsofGlasgow YouTube.
